SHIATSU

Shiatsu is a traditional hands-on therapy originating in Japan. There are two main Shiatsu schools; one based on western anatomical and physiological theory and the other based on the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Shiatsu literally means “finger pressure”. It integrates a variety of stretching, exercising and pressure.

Clients who enjoys Shiatsu Massages report feeling relaxed, calm and better able to cope with things; they also report a significant improvement in symptoms related to stress and muscular/joint problems.

The pressure feels more localized, because unlike other types of massage, the finger pads are used to apply pressure for most of the treatment instead of the entire palm.
